The soul of our ROSE: Rosa damascena
In the world of fine ingredients, there are few that embody as much history, fragrance and elegance as Rosa damascena – better known as the Damask rose.
This particular rose variety originates from the Middle East, especially Syria, and has been cultivated for centuries. It is famous for its intensely fragrant, deep pink blossoms – and for the precious essential oil extracted from its petals. In the world of perfume and cosmetics, this oil is considered one of the most valuable essences.
Therefore, it quickly became clear to us: if a flower should form the heart of our ROSE aperitif, then it should be this one.
Scent, depth, effect
But the Damask rose can do more than just smell good.
Its petals contain natural antioxidants and valuable plant compounds, and have been prized in traditional uses for generations. It is said to have calming and balancing properties – it represents relaxation, a delicate balance, and a moment of pause.
We wanted to translate exactly that feeling into a drink.
ROSE is therefore not simply floral.
It is multifaceted. Delicate at first, with a subtle depth on the palate. The aroma remains present without being intrusive. Elegant, but never heavy.
A conscious decision
We deliberately chose Rosa damascena.
Because she can do both:
To convey elegance – and deliver complexity of flavor.
Its delicate, slightly astringent notes bring structure to the glass. Its aroma creates atmosphere. And its rich history lends our aperitif a cultural depth that you might not see at first glance – but you can taste.
